Apple has announced today that they're inviting all developers to make Apple Watch apps. Before, only a few companies were able to release apps that support the Apple Watch. With this anyone will be able to submit apps for approval that support the Apple Watch.

Apps Being Updated for Apple Watch [Updated]

Today we are seeing the first app updates for apps that support the Apple Watch. These apps will support the use with Apple Watch without the need to download them from the Apple Watch app.

Today we’re seeing updates from Evernote, Dark Sky Weather, and Target. With Evernote, you can now dictate your notes to the watch, see recently updated notes, search notes, and create reminders. Dark Sky now includes a new interface that will work on the Apple Watch. It has all of the features as the full app, but for the watch. The Target app adds the ability to add items to your list, find aisle locations, and see when stores are open near you. This is, of course, all done right from your wrist.

All of these apps will be able to work on the Apple Watch from day one. However, since the watch isn’t out yet we won’t be able to try them for another month.

    Update:

A full list of apps updated to support the Apple Watch can be found here.

Apple to have Limited Apple Watches In Stock

Apple is said to have limited Apple Watches in stock at stores, says 9to5Mac. That means that it’s highly unlikely you’ll get the model that you want. Because of this, your best bet is to pre-order the watch on April 10.

The reason that Apple will have limited stock could be because there are so many different models. First, there are three different lines. And then there are two different screen sizes. Finally, there are different bands. All of that means that there’s going to be so many different watches to have in stock. It makes it hard for Apple to have many available for the first day, much less any other day at a retail store. Again, your best bet will be to order it online.

Updated Apple Wireless Keyboard Spotted on Online Store

Apple has kept the same wireless keyboard for sale since 2011. It hasn’t seen an update for a long time, but it looks like we might see a new one soon. As spotted on Apple’s online Czech Republic store, there is a new wireless keyboard. There isn’t a huge design change. In fact, it looks the same as the current keyboard.

Where the differences are is the new actions keys. With the current wireless keyboard, the F5 and F6 keys have nothing on them. However, on the MacBooks they are used for backlights. Now, the keys now feature the same backlight icons, hinting towards there being backlights in the new keyboard. The only other major change is where the eject button was. They replaced it with a power button. This could mean that you can wake up or start your Mac right from the keyboard.

Apple has added the new image to their online store in the Czech Republic, however it seems to have been an accident. The description of the keyboard is the same as before. And if you buy it you’re still purchasing the old model. Hopefully we’ll see this new keyboard launch soon in all countries.
