WWDC Recap – MacBook Air with a Haswell Processor

06/12/2013 17:56

Intel’s Haswell processor is a very powerful chip that doesn’t need a lot of battery power. Apple took advantage of that and put it in the latest MacBook Airs. They now offer amazing battery life. You will now get a 12-hour battery on the 13-inch model and 9 hours on the 11-inch model.

Along with that, Apple added dual mics on both the 11 and 13-inch models. You should get better quality sound on the other end of a FaceTime call or anything else that needs a microphone. The new MacBook Airs will also come with 802.11ac Wi-Fi support that will give you up to a 3x faster wireless experience.

Another thing to note is that the flash storage is now up to 45% faster than the previous generation MacBook Air. You will also get a standard capacity of 128GB on the 11-inch model rather than 64GB and it is still $999.
