CES 2015: Fake Apple Watch

01/09/2015 11:06

Apple’s much awaited watch may not be coming for another few more months, but that’s not stopping Chinese companies from making fake ones. And one company decided to bring theirs to International CES 2015 to sell it. Few people were able to get their hands on one, including Mashable and they were able to do a review on it.

The watch looks very similar to Apple’s. And rather than a $300+ price tag, this one is only $27.  According to Mashable, the watch has a built-in pedometer, stopwatch, and alarm. If also connects to your device and offers notifications from a limited number of apps, including WeChat.

However, this watch isn’t usable without a Jailbroken iPhone. You have to download an APK from Cydia that will allow you to use the watch with those limited apps.

The company that makes the watch claims that it has up to 180 hours of battery life. They also say that it is available in many stores both in the U.S and China, however they didn’t say which stores it’s available in.
