Apple to Start Offering SIM-Free iPhones in the U.S Tomorrow

01/05/2015 15:11

Apple is going to start selling unlocked, SIM-free iPhone 6 and 6 Plus models in the U.S tomorrow, says 9to5Mac. When they first launched the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, you could pick up and unlocked model, but that came with a T-Mobile SIM card preinstalled. We’re not sure why Apple decided to take that route, nor why they are going to start offering the SIM-free model tomorrow. Since the one with the T-Mobile SIM card is also uncooked we can’t see why Apple would want to offer a SIM-free model, since they’re basically the same thing. The SIM-free iPhone 6 will start off at $649, same as the one with the T-Mobile SIM card.
