Apple Seeds iOS 7 Beta 4

07/29/2013 12:30

Apple has just released iOS 7 beta 4, 3 weeks after the release of beta 3. The developer center hack didn’t stop them from releasing preview 4 for OS X Mavericks, but it did for iOS. This update probably contains some of the biggest feature changes since beta 1.

First, there is a slightly redesigned lock screen. The “Slide to Unlock” text is now a different color and there is an arrow next to it. The tabs to pull the notification center down and control center up are now flat, rather than arrows.

Next, there are some stability improvements such as smoother animations when deleting mail, slightly different icons with better color, new AirPlay icon, and relocated HDR button in the camera app. You can now swipe from left to right in the notification center to access the different tabs.

Finally, one of the bugs with the previous betas was if you had a folder on your dock there would be no animation when it was open. This is now fixed in beta 4.
