Apple Pay Launches in the U.K.

07/13/2015 18:26

Apple has today officially launch Apple Pay in the United Kingdom. The mobile payment service was slated to launch on July 14, and since it’s already the 14th there, the service has already launched. This means that you can use your U.K credit card in apps and in stores that support Apple Pay. This joins Apple’s total of one country that supports Apple Pay (the United States).

The United Kingdom spans more than one country. Thus, those in England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland can use Apple Pay. If you have an Apple Watch, iPad Air 2, iPad mini 3, or iPhone 5 or newer you can use Apple Pay. In-store purchases are limited to the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus right now.
