Apple Offering iPhone 5 Battery Replacement

Apple has begun offering an iPhone 5 battery replacement program. This program will replace the battery on some iPhone 5 models for free. These was a defective battery in models sold between September 2012 and January 2013. If you think that you iPhone might be one of those you can check your serial number here.
Apple has determined that a very small percentage of iPhone 5 devices may suddenly experience shorter battery life or need to be charged more frequently. The affected iPhone 5 devices were sold between September 2012 and January 2013 and fall within a limited serial number range.
If your iPhone 5 is experiencing these symptoms and meets the eligibility requirements noted below, Apple will replace your iPhone 5 battery, free of charge.
If you have already purchased a new battery from Apple they will offer you a full refund if you have one the of iPhones with the bad battery.
