Apple Confirms 'Heartbleed' Bug didn't affect them

Apple today released a statement addressing the new security issue where hackers can get your passwords and other important info. This is done through the password saving service OpenSSL. This is used by many companies, which puts a lot of people in danger. In fact 66% of sites are affected.

In the statement Apple says that this issue did not affect their software and other "key services". That means that your Apple ID, Keychain, and iCloud are safe.

“Apple takes security very seriously. iOS and OS X never incorporated the vulnerable software and key web-based services were not affected,” an Apple spokesperson told Re/code."
