Apple Announces ‘Hour of Code’ 2014 Campaign
Last December Apple offered for the first time “Hour of Code” workshops for students. In the hour long class held at retail stores, students would make a simple drag and drop game on the Code.org website. With the help of some of the employees kids would learn the basics of programming.
Apple is again taking part of this and is offering it on December 11. This workshop is available to students at participating stores.
Computer Science Education Week is December 8-14. We're supporting Code.org by hosting workshops and other special events at your local Apple Store. Join us on December 11 for the Hour of Code, a free one-hour introduction to the basics of computer programming.
Unlike last year, Apple is also offering special events at certain stores. This is in celebration of Computer Science Education Week. For example, there will be special guest speakers at the Ginza Tokyo store, Regent Street London, and more. Interested parents can learn more about this here.
