    Apple Launches New 5K iMac

Apple has today launched a new 5K iMac. This comes a day after the rumor that this new computer would come tomorrow. Rather than an upgrade to the current 5K iMac, Apple has added a new configuration. This joins the $2,999 iMac. This new model costs $1,999. It features a 3.3GHz quad-core i5 processor, 8GB of RAM, 2GB of video memory, and a 1TB hard drive. However, with this model only the RAM and hard drive are upgradeable. The processor is not.

Apple to Finally Allow Third-Party Apple TV Apps

Apple is finally going to allow developers to make apps for the Apple TV, according to 9to5Mac. An SDK should be announced at WWDC this June and developers can start making apps right away. This will all be done through Xcode, using an SDK which might be called "TVKit".

Developers will be able to make a wide variety of apps, including news, games, and more. However, users will be limited to the remote that comes with the Apple TV, posing a challenge when making apps.

Apple Working on 'Find my Watch'

Apple is working on an Apple Watch tracking feature, says 9to5Mac. This is going to be similar to the Find my iPhone feature within iCloud. In fact, it'll be pretty much identical. This will go alongside Find my iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Mac. This will allow you to locate, wipe, lock, and sound an alarm on the Apple Watch.

Timing for this is currently unknown. Since the Apple Watch is so reliant on the iPhone we're not sure how it will be able to provide a location if it's out of range of an iPhone. All we know right now is that Apple may use something already inside the watch, which is known to Apple as "Smart Leashing".

This may require new hardware for this to work, thus pushing off the launch of Find my Watch until the second generation Apple Watch. For now what we may get is a feature that will alert you when you go out of range of your iPhone.

MacBook Pro and iMac Updates Expected Wednesday

New updates to the 15-inch MacBook Pro and 27-inch iMac are expected to launch this Wednesday. According to macg.co, sources say that there will be new models launching this week. While the source is unnamed, they say that the source is highly respected and accurate.

However, the site doesn't say much about what will be new. As for the MacBook Pro, we expect to see the new Force Touch trackpad, faster flash storage, a newer generation processor, and better battery life. These are pretty much the changes that we saw with the 13-inch model a few months ago.

As for the iMac, we're not sure. There could be a processor upgrade as well. Other than that nobody's really sure.

    Apple Pushes Back HomeKit Launch

Apple has pushed back the launch of their upcoming home automation APK HomeKit. They have allegedly moved the launch back to August or September. The target launch date was sometime in May or June. WWDC 2015 is coming up next month, which could be when they officially announce a launch date.

HomeKit allows developers and product makers to implement this software within. Then users will be able to control the devices from the makers' apps and even via Siri.

Apple Opens App Analytics Beta to All Developers

Last month, Apple announced a new app analytics platform. It was only in beta and those that wanted to use it had to request access to the beta. Now, Apple has opened the beta to all developers. iOS developers are just now getting emails letting them know that they can try the new tool. This does require an iOS Developer membership. However, it does come free and there is no updates needed to your application in order for this to work. This tool is also accessible via iTunes Connect.
