Apple Seeds iOS 9 Beta 3

07/08/2015 12:31

Apple has today seeded the third beta of iOS 9. This version comes two weeks after the second release to developers. This version adds many new improvements, including Apple Music and Beats 1.

We also see the new News app, which Apple introduced back at WWDC. This allows you to read news stories based on your interests. This rivals popular app Flipboard, which is basically the same thing. Upon first impressions, the app seems very plain. Flipboard has a much better design and will likely stay our favorite.

There are other things that have been changed, like folders on iPads now showing a 4x4 layout, rather than 3x3. There’s also new folders in the Photos app. It will group your images under Selfies or Screenshots, if you have any of those in your library. On top of that, there are search improvements, ability to enable high quality music while on cellular data, and more.

Developers can update to beta 3 in Settings > General > Software update > iOS 9 beta 3. If you have not downloaded it yet you can do so from the iOS Developer Center.
