Apple is going to add more and faster RAM in the iPhone 6s, says TechNews Taiwan. Currently in the iPhone 6, Apple uses 1GB of LPDDR3 RAM. DDR3 is the standard for RAM in most phones and computer as of today.

However, the more apps you run the less RAM you have. Many people have been wanting more RAM from Apple for some time now, but it seems like they could finally add more with the iPhone 6s. TechNews Taiwan also says that Apple is going to go a model higher in RAM and add LPDDR4 RAM. This is the upcoming RAM standard, only found in a few computers today.

More RAM will allow for the ability to have many apps open and be able to go back and forth between without any having to end processes. Have you noticed that when you go back into Safari and the page reloads? That’s because you maxed out your RAM and the phone had to end some processes, such as the downloaded site being stored in the temporary storage.
