Apple Retires Aperture and iPhoto

04/10/2015 15:56

Apple has today officially retired iPhoto and Aperture. They announced that they would be removing both from the App Store once the new Photos app for Mac launched. That app came a few days ago with OS X 10.10.3, which means that it's time for both to go. Starting today the consumer iPhoto app and professional Aperture apps are now removed. The only photo editing software from Apple is now only the Photos app. That app is only found on the latest version of OS X. However, if you have purchased either iPhoto or Aperture before you can still download and use them.
